Support the Library
There are several ways that you can support the library. The most common way is an outright donation which can go to Library of the Chathams, to Friends of the Library, or to Chatham Library Foundation. This page details how donations to each entity differ and how you can donate.
Chatham Library Foundation
The Foundation’s immediate purpose is to support the Library of the Chathams construction project. Once that goal is complete, donations will go toward an endowment fund to ensure consistent library operating funds from year to year. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 — the library itself is not, and is not eligible for many grants and matching gifts while the Foundation is eligible.

Friends of the Library of the Chathams

After expenses, 100% of the money raised goes to help finance services, books and programs that are not covered in the regular library budget. Recently funded items include: Children’s Programs, Teen Programs, Movie Nights, Seed Library, Watercolor Classes, Cheese Tasting, Cooking Classes, Crafts Programs, Dungeons & Dragons Tournaments, two self-check Kiosks, and more!

Donations can also be made towards purchasing in specific areas of the library’s book collection, or in honor or in memory of someone. Your donation is tax deductible.
