Unearth a Story – Summer Reading Programs

Mark your calendars! Kick off the Summer Reading Program on Monday, June 22 at 6 pm with the Liberty Science Center! They will showcase the magic and fun of science through their Science Circus Stage Show. There will be over a dozen dazzling experiments and many volunteer opportunities for the whole family to enjoy!
Kids Summer Reading
For Chatham kids ages 12 and under – June 22 through August 13
Join our Summer Reading Club! Sign-ups begin on June 22. Read books all summer long. Come into the library and report on them any time the library is open. Earn POINTS! Win PRIZES!
Teen Summer Reading
For Chatham students entering Grades 6 to 12 – June 22 through August 13
Submit a review of a book you have read in one of the following ways: written review, advertisement convincing others to read the book, new book jacket design, book trailer, comparison of the book and movie, verbal report to the librarian, or any other media. Earn entries for weekly prize drawings and more!
Adult Summer Reading
For Chatham residents ages 18 and up – June 22 through August 13
Pick up an Adult Summer Reading Bingo Board at the Reference Desk. Complete 5 challenges in a row (vertical, diagonal, or horizontal) to get a Bingo. Each Bingo you get is in entry into our prize drawing.
Three (3) lucky adult readers will win a gift card to a Chatham restaurant. Only one board per person. All boards must be submitted by Thursday, August 13.
