Adventure Begins at Your Library – Summer Reading Programs
★ We have programs for Chatham children, teens, and adults beginning on Monday, June 17 – have fun with us all summer long! You can sign up early by visiting our table at the Fishawack Festival on Saturday, June 8. Stop by and say hi! ★
Mark your calendars! Kick off the Summer Reading Program on Monday, June 17 at 6 pm with the Zoophoria! This wildlife program will focus on the adventure that animals offer humans and the threats they face in their natural habitats. Children will be able to see animals from all over the world including a giant 60lb tortoise named Tripod!
Kids Summer Reading
For Chatham kids ages 12 and under – June 17 through August 8
Join our Summer Reading Club! Sign-ups begin on June 17. Read books all summer long. Come into the library and report on them any time the library is open. Earn POINTS! Win PRIZES!
The Summer Reading Club Picnic will be on August 8, from 3 to 4:30 pm, in Memorial Park for children who have earned enough points in the Summer Reading Club! (sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of the Chathams, Friends of the Library, and Chatham Jaycees)
Teen Summer Reading
For Chatham students entering Grades 6 to 12 – June 17 through August 9
Submit a review of a book you have read in one of the following ways: written review, advertisement convincing others to read the book, new book jacket design, book trailer, comparison of the book and movie, verbal report to the librarian, or any other media. Earn entries for weekly prize drawings and more!

For Chatham residents ages 18 and up – June 17 through August 31
