Publish Your Writing Published on: March 8, 2012
SELF-e is a platform for independent and self-published authors to post writings online. This allows your works a broader exposure to a wider audience.
Submitting an e-book is quick and no more difficult than filling out a short form and attaching a file. To post your work, click here.
This brings you to the SELF-e submission page. You can read the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) to learn about the program. Below the FAQs is an outline of the submission process.
- First, read and accept the terms of the agreement.
- Second, fill out some basic contact information, along with the name of your local library.
- Third, submit your file. You will get a browse command where you can upload the file from where it is stored. Files are accepted in ePub and PDF format.
- Fourth, fill out some basic metadata (some descriptive information about your work). Then click Finish.
You will receive an email from the company that your submission has been received. Currently, it will take about two months for works to be posted. Books will be submitted to Library Journal for approval; texts will be posted on the NJ state anthology, and cataloging records will also be created to link to the public catalog. You are free to take down your work from the site at any time.
If you have any questions concerning submissions, please contact the reference desk at 973-635-0603.
