The wait is over! Library of the Chathams is delighted to announce that its back entrance has now reopened.  It has been upgraded and improved to make the library more accessible to all visitors thanks to a Morris County Community Development Block Grant.

The Library Board and staff would like to thank our residents for their patience and understanding during a process that took longer than we would have liked.  The long closure was due first to a supply chain issue and then to the need to correct a problem with water pooling on the new steps which would have caused unsafe conditions in cold weather.

Our summer reading theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library!” and the re-opening is especially welcome during these busy months.  Check out the programs and activities offered for all ages at chathamlibrary.org.
