Library and Local Businesses

We Will Get Through This Together

Small businesses give a town its character, as does its library.  The Library of the Chathams is partnering with local businesses to support them during this difficult time.  This partnership can take different forms.

Several Chatham businesses have presented online programs for library patrons, ranging in topics from parenting and yoga to coping with coronavirus and organizing your home.  These programs provided information and entertained while highlighting the business and what it can do even during the lockdown.  There are several more in the works, on lawn care and physical therapy.

Other forms of cooperation include gift certificates to local businesses that the library purchases as prizes for our patrons who win in various contests, and a video that shows kids how to make a craft available from our neighbors at Jabberwocky.
