Black cats are much less likely to be adopted, but Black Cat Appreciation Day on August 17 aims to dispel all the myths surrounding black cats. How can you help? Consider adopting a black cat. Support your local shelters and volunteer – you can play with a black cat (or any cat), give them cuddles and treats, and even read to them!
