Make a Donation or Pay Fines

Making A Donation:

You can make a donation to the library in several ways – online, in person, by mail, and even in your estate planning. See below for details.

Support the Library – The most common way to support the library is with an outright donation which can go to Library of the Chathams, to Friends of the Library, or to Chatham Library Foundation. Click the link for details on how donations to each entity differ and how you can donate.


Paying Fines:

You may pay your fines by coming into the library, mailing a check, or paying online.
DO NOT use this to pay for a lost/damaged item – you must contact the library first.

  1. Enter the amount of your fine (there is a $5.00 minimum) and click Checkout.
  2. Fill out the required information in the form.
  3. To complete your payment, click the pay button at the bottom of the page.
  4. .Once you have paid, please email the Circulation Department email: circ-cha@mainlib.org so that we can be sure to mark your account as paid.

To pay by check:
