Healthy Cooking for Teens: Guacamole & Pita Chips
Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Online (From Your Home)

Many teens want to eat healthy or learn about nutrition, but don’t know where to start. For this project, Chatham 8th Grader Josie Ivancich, working on her Girl Scout Silver Award in Health and Nutrition, teamed up with Nutrition Specialist Lauren Leonard, CNS. In each class, we will first hear from Ms. Leonard and then get to cook the meal together with Josie. You will learn new life skills of prepping and cooking food – and then enjoy a delicious meal with your family!
The program will be held virtually on Zoom. We will email you the Zoom link before the class. Grades 6 to 8, limit 30 students
You will need to have the ingredients for today’s recipe. Click here to see the list
In Class 1 we will make Guacamole & Pita Chips. Registration required – sign up for Class 1 here or call the library at 973-635-0603.
Why not sign up for all of the classes? You can learn more cooking techniques, more recipes, try different things, and you will also learn more about healthy eating! Each class requires separate registration.
