Owls of New Jersey with the Morris County Park Commission

New Jersey is home to eight amazing species of owls, each with their own adaptations.  Learn all about their habits, what makes owls special, and how to see owls in the wild. We will also look at some owl artifacts and hear owl calls.  Finally, your owl knowledge will be tested as we dispel some common myths.  Please join Jenny Gaus-Myers, Manager of the Division of Educational and Interpretive Programming for the Morris County Park Commission on Thursday, April 29 at 4 pm.  You may sign up online if you would like to attend this presentation.

Chess Expert Sean Finn will teach this class virtually via Zoom.  Students will learn game strategy, basic checkmates, new tactical patterns, and the best questions to ask themselves when evaluating a position and creating a plan.  Using a combination of the best online chess platforms available, classes will include puzzle solving, game analysis and of course a chance to play.  Dates:  Mondays, May 10, 11, 24; June 7, 14, 21, 2021 (no class on May 31).

Group 1 is for players who know how pieces move.  Suggested ages: 6 to 8.  Limit: 12 students

Sign up only if you can attend all 6 classes.

Registration opens Monday, April 26.

Due to high demand, registration is limited to Chatham Borough and Chatham Township residents only.
