CALL: Chatham Adult Lifeworks Learning Course—The History of Mystery

Four authors from the Mystery Writers of America will discuss the development of the mystery genre from its origins in the works of writers such as Edgar Allan Poe, early English mysteries, the Sherlock Holmes stories to American detective fiction authors such as Hammett and Chandler. The lectures will be held at 1 pm on the following dates:
- June 6 Peggy Ehrhart on Edgar Allan Poe
- June 13 Jeff Markowitz on Anna Katherine Green, the nearly forgotten mother of American mystery
- June 20 Lindsay Faye on Sherlock Holmes
- June 27 Dave White on the Hardboiled School of Crime Fiction in the U.S.
