Rizzo's Wildlife World

Ages 4 & Up

This fun wildlife program features 8 to 10 animals (snakes, lizards, frogs, turtles, insects, and small mammals) as well as a baby alligator!  Children will learn about the animals, where they are from, and what they like to eat. Best of all, the children can interact with or touch the majority of the animals! This program is a one-of-a-kind experience!

ESL Class

For those wanting to improve their English language skills, this series of classes spans 8 weeks from September 5 through October 24.  The program will be conducted by Language Education and Resource Network (LEARN) and volunteer tutors.  Students will be divided into small groups by skill level.  The program is free – all you need is a commitment to learn!  Register online, in person, or call 973-635-0603.

Creating Safe and Affirming Communities for Transgender Youth

Presented by Ashley Chiappano of Garden State Equality, this program will teach about the challenges faced by trans youth in school and community settings and how to advocate for change. Participants will be provided with a comprehensive explanation of state law and school policies as they apply to transgender and gender nonconforming youth. The final step of the workshop will provide tools for participants on how to engage friends, extended family, and community in order to create safe spaces and advocate for trans youth in school and in the broader community.

Teens and adults are welcome to attend.

This program has been rescheduled from the original date of June 26.
