CALL: The History and Politics of North Korea

Dr. Roy Licklider, Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University with a Ph.D. in Internal Relations from Yale, will present a two-part lecture series on Tuesdays, February 13 and 20 at 1 pm on the history and politics of North Korea. We will examine its history from 8000 BC through its dynasties, wars, and relationships with the Soviet Union, China, and the U.S. We will also look at present-day North Korea with its dependence on foreign aid for food, its tight political control by a young and untested leader, its move toward nuclear weapons, threats about conquering South Korea and waging war against the U.S. This is a free CALL series. Pre-registration is requested. Sign up online or call 973-635-0603.
