Census 2020
Library of the Chathams is partnering with the Chatham Borough Green Team and the U.S. Census Bureau to make it easier for residents of our community to complete the 2020 Census. In mid-March residents will begin receiving census forms in the mail. Anyone living in the United States is required by law to complete the census. Responding to the census can be done online, by phone, or by mail. Responses are important as states receive federal funding and congressional representatives based on the census numbers.
To help residents respond online to the 2020 Census, the Chatham Borough Green Team will set up library computers at kiosks from 10 am to noon beginning March 17 and running through April 7 in the Gallery on the lower level. Residents can use the library kiosks with assistance from volunteers if they need help completing the census online.
