Celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week

October 19-25, 2014, is the ninth annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries week.  This is a great time to publicly thank Friends of the Library of The Chathams who contribute so much of their time and expertise to significantly enhance our services.

Our Friends group raises funds to cover the costs of children’s programming, special collections, and equipment. In fact, the Friends helped usher our library into the digital era by funding our eBooks collection, mobile app and iPad loan program.

The Friends members spend an enormous amount of time working at the library.  They help to expand and enhance our programs and services in ways that could not happen without their talent and outstanding commitment.
